Tonight I had the pleasure of attending the launch of Brian Atwood’s new collection B BRIAN ATWOOOD at Saks Fifth Avenue at the Biltmore Fashion Park. I so happened to be invited by a representative of Saks via my friendship with Kristianne. That phrase “it’s who you know” totally applied and I am forever grateful for the invitation. It was quite the experience and I hope to cover more local fashion events in the future.

But let’s get to the shoes. And by shoes I mean the beauty that is the B Brian Atwood collection. Might I just say that every luxurious pump was swoon worthy! I had to lift my jaw off the floor throughout the evening and still haven’t fully recovered from being in the presence of shoe royalty. Each piece was fierce, feminine and powerful. There was a lot of python and mixed metals represented, which continued through the collection. Oh and don’t get me started with Atwood’s signature fringe pump or the royal purple that is spotted in all of his previous collections.

I also don’t want to leave out that the folks at Saks did a great job with preparation. Complimentary champagne was served by beautiful male eye candy and the guests walked away with a great compilation of cosmetics and goodies in a wonderfully packaged swag tote. I especially want to thank Amy Videan, who invited us bloggers to cover launch. Great event!
