Happy Monday my lovelies. I hope everyone had a phenomenal weekend! Mine was rather calm, yet eventful if that makes any sense. A lot of hanging out and painting…absolute perfection.

So what do you think about my ensemble? Very preppy chic if you ask me. I wore this little number on Thursday to work but dashed home during my lunch to pick up an alternative outfit for a trunk show I attended later on that evening (more details on that later). Any who, the material of the skirt and the tights were sticking together all day, causing some indecent exposure in the office so a wardrobe change was definitely in order.

Other than the ‘incident’, as they called it in my office, I love this skirt! The color is so very Fall and perfect for the light Arizona chill. It’s actually not mine but Alisha’s of Alisha and Brandon. Emma, of Verbal Mélange, and I decided to put together a blogger swap a couple of weeks ago. With Em’s type A personality and my enthusiasm to participate in a swap we got a handful of great ladies to take part! And Miss Alisha was my partner! I’m borrowing this skirt and Alisha has this dress on loan.

After seeing how she fabulously paired this ModCloth skirt with Earth tones, I knew I wanted to do the same. However, I wanted to style it up differently. So what was my solution? A layered preppy look of course.  I never really considered myself as a  preppy dresser but recently it’s been my go-to approach to many of my outfits (seen here, here, here and here). Thoughts?
