These Boots are made for walkin’

When: October 1, 2011

On Saturday, our second day in Colorado, we all met up with even more of my husbands’ family. It was quite overwhelming but I flashed on my smile and plenty of charm. Turns out me and all of K’s cousins, who happen to be gals, get along very well. Phew, that’s good news. Even better news? The price on this short sleeve sweater. I decided on an outfit that was comfortable yet welcoming. This knit sweater was a recent purchase from Old Navy. And because the morning weather called for it, I found a perfect time to finally wear boots.

We all went out to brunch and then headed over to the college for a tour of the CSU stadium. It was soo cool. They had done a lot of remodeling, restructuring and there were tons of legendary murals on the wall. After the tour we attended the CSU homecoming football game vs. San Jose State. Unfortunately we lost the game but there was definitely a battle, so there was plenty of entertainment and excitement. During halftime K’s grandfather got recognized as an outstanding athlete and legacy of the college.

The day went on with lots of laughter, more food and lots of drinks. It was nice to be a part of the family moments and I would have to say that day 2 was quite a success!
