When: August 29, 2011
I’m realizing more and more that I don’t know much about fashion. And I can’t remember what had me thinking that I did. I’m not ashamed of my lack of fashion knowledge because you don’t need to be a staffer at Runway to have personal style (like my The Devil Wear’s Prada reference?). While my style might not be as trendy or as hip as the next fabulously average gal, it is my individual style. And if there is one thing that I’ve learned since startin’ up this blog of mine it’s that: fashion and style, ladies and gentlemen, are subjective.
There I go, rambled on about nothing. You want to know what today’s post was meant to be about? Well, when I first saw this dress at Target I thought to myself, “OH, there’s that picnic tablecloth pattern all the bloggers are sportin’. For $6.59, I’ll check out what all the commotion is about.” Yes, I actually called it a picnic tablecloth pattern. Well it is. Come to find out it’s called gingham and one of my favorite bloggers Holly of HollyDolly wears the pattern quite successfully. But enough about my neophyte fashion sense let’s get to this dress.
I’m in love with this dress! The cut, the simple color that pairs well with earth tones, the slits? What’s not to love? And just think about the possibilities for the Fall? I smell a Fall wardrobe staple.
Let me stop while I’m ahead. Am I ahead? Back to your regularly scheduled programming blogging.
