30 for 30: Sweet 16

So, I really like this dress. It’s a bright color, it’s comfortable, it’s easy. What more could I ask for? However, as part of my 30for30 selection I don’t know if it was such a good choice. It’s quite limiting. Maybe I’m not creative enough but I’m sure I’ve tried all my options.

This morning while going through the special section of my closet roped off for only 30for30 items I noticed an untapped item.

(There are probably a couple that you might be wondering haven’t made appearances but they have. They just weren’t pictured and documented. This usually occurs on Sundays- notice no Sunday posts- when I’m too gross to be captured on film with unwashed tresses, running around in the Arizona heat proudly wearing jorts, which are included in my 30for30.)

A baby blue number that was purchased right before the challenge for $7.99 at Forever21. As I observed the sleeveless, ruched, silk(?) shirt I realized that it might not have been the smartest purchase. It makes me look boxy, which I had noted when I tried it on in the dressing room of F21 but quickly dismissed the thought because it was a pretty color and under ten bucks. (I’m easy to please…and cheap.) But I won’t let it get the best of me, I’ll try and incorporate it in my remix, possibly a difficult task. I guess you’ll have to wait and see.
